Angela Daymond: Textile Artist and Tutor
Creative....Inspiring....Unique
Workshops and Talks by Angela Daymond
I work as a freelance artist and teacher and live in the East of England. I constantly find inspiration in the flat Fens and big skies of the east. I challenge myself to use recycled textiles in my work and to create unique fabrics through the use of dye and paint. I have a particular interest in natural dyeing in my textile work getting colour from flowers, leaves, roots and bark. I love teaching others this traditional and sustainable craft. I am available for bookings from groups, schools and individuals and hold an up to date CRB check, safeguarding adults training and public liability insurance.
Workshops

I have a wealth of experience of teaching adults and children and I love helping others find their creativity. My workshops are accessible for everyone and can be adapted to suit individual needs. Many workshops inspire people to create their own unique "one of a kind" fabrics.
My workshops include natural dyeing, shibori, using procion dyes and various printing techniques as well as many patchwork and quilting techniques.
Read more about my workshops, mini workshops and children's workshops.
Talks

I offer talks to groups, currently based on my experiences of natural dyeing and undertaking a City and Guilds Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting. Talks are suitable for a range of different groups and ages and may be tailored to meet your individual needs.
